  1. These are so neat, I mean. Oy.

My favorite is still the pvc and air, but the pendulum motors are impressive. I’d love to lean up against the other side of that wall…

  2. You should totally come and see the Biennale art exposition of Venice sooner or later (if you already haven’t). It is entirely made of art of this level. Last time I went the most interesting pavillions were the Czech and the Finnish ones. The czech being made of transparent panels suspended in the middle of the pavillions with letters randomly scattered on them, so that they looked like floating in mid-air, and the floor was covered in metal spheres you could play with and kick here and there.
Another pavilion was made of interactive art: you entered in one room and the staff, which initially seemed to be working there doing normal stuff, abruptly started dancing and singing around you.
It’s always a marvelous experience, truly.

  3. Tazio, sorry it took me so long to respond. I somehow didn’t confirm a whole pile of new users, and their posts have just been sitting in queue waiting to be confirmed.

I’ve always wanted to go to the Biennale. Someday! My memories of Venice are:

    • Wet. It rained the entire time I was there, and it’s a wet place already.
    • It’s a weird shape. I got lost a lot, which is one of my great pleasures in small European cities. In large cities, it’s not as much fun.
