We all know cephalopods are interesting and amazing. They’re also brilliant and absurd. See this out outfoxing its predators by hiding in a coconut that it carries around with it for just such a purpose.
NOTHING TO SEE HERE I AM A COCONUT PLEASE CONTINUE ON YOUR WAY
Most absurd is the tiptoeing gait.
But most fascinating is the fact that they seem to have learned how to do it.

I do think that’s an abalone shell, not a coconut. And holy cow, it carries it’s armor along with it?!?!

One of them looks like an ablone shell, but the others are definitely coconuts.
I forgot to link to the full article in the post.
Awesome. Cephalopods don’t have giant brains for nothin’!
They have them for everything!
They only live a year. The experience of an octopus must be wonderfully alien.
