Paul is not, like, a great person in Dune. He has a reasonably acceptable sense of honor, which, frankly, puts him in rare company in the books, but he\u2019s not a \u201cDo the most good you can for the most people\u201d kind of hero. He believes he\u2019s God after a while, but all that\u2019s happened to him with his prescience is that he\u2019s discovered how much he\u2019s a product of his circumstance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But he hasn\u2019t realized that yet at this point. Right now, he\u2019s super excited that he\u2019s not only the Kwizatz Haderach, but also has a hot girlfriend whose dad likes him because he\u2019s, what, like 17 when he starts leading the Fremen in terrorist attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Around his neck, you can see a water coin. It\u2019s inspired by the cover of Herbert\u2019s short story collection Eye<\/strong>, which was painted by Jim Burns. In it, a Fremen woman\u2019s hair and scarf are woven with water tokens to show her family\u2019s wealth, and I really like that imagery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
