I’m excited about running Shock:Human Contact at Dreamation 2010 (The Year We Make Contact) with folks! I’m getting the edition put together right now and I’m really happy with the way it’s shaping up. I’ll have copies of this edition for all players of the game, and depending on the cost of production, might have a few more for sale at the con.
Beautiful.
Thank you!
I’ve ironed out a bunch of the (near) science of the setting, keeping the handwaving to a minimum, too. I’m quite pleased with it.
Looking forward to this! I’m still waiting for the opportunity to sign up for games at Dreamation (probably later this week), but your 2PM Friday session is a top pick for me. And we’ll finally get to game together – a year after the last Dreamation!
I don’t care what that is–game, album or vodka–I’m buying it.
What if it’s….
ALL THREE?
Very nice! Kinda like Justin Van Genderen minimalist Star Wars posters, http://www.flickr.com/photos/justinvg/tags/starwars/ . Will there be more of such goodness inside?
Ha! I was just looking at those a couple of days ago, so I suppose it could have been an influence. It really came down to wanting to represent the “bridging the gap between cultures” aspect of the game, though.
The Dreamation Preview will be pretty sparse inside — I don’t have many pages to do what I’m trying to do. The eventual complete game will have lots of illustrations of varying levels of abstraction.
*Love* the cover! Perfect font!
That is lovely. I want it even more now.
Thanks, guys!
Rachel, there’s no font. That there’s letter-drawin’.
Awesome, Joshua!
I’m sad to say that I’m going to have to do this cover in black & white in order to not lose money on it. I’m doing a *very* short run, and that makes unit costs really high.
Dabgummit.
Love the cover as well.
